TSNs Jack Armstrong offers his thoughts on Phil Jackson in New York, Ray McCallums impressive play with the Kings, the reliable veteran in Memphis Mike Miller, Andrew Bynums debut with the Pacers and Anthony Bennetts injury. 1. PHIL JACKSON: Would be a major coup of the NY Knicks to get him as their President. Bottom line, owner James Dolan needs to stay out of the way. Jackson must have the ability to select his GM, front office staff, coaches, support staff and have final say on all player issues. If he wants to move current employees out, then he has carte blanche to do that as well. Anything less will be more of the same dysfunction. He needs to be the boss and the one who sets the tone with the folks he wants in place. 2. RAY MCCALLUM (Kings): Have been impressed with him in the last few games Ive seen him. Great energy and feel for the game. Played for his dad at the University of Detroit and you can tell hes grown up around the game. Getting a chance to get some second unit minutes right now and hes been respectable. 3. MIKE MILLER (Grizzlies): Even though hes five points off his career average (down from 12 to 7 ppg) he is still a reliable veteran who really makes the defense defend him behind the arc, thus opening up more space for his teammates to operate. When you shoot the ball from distance at 45 per cent and youre a good passer youll have a role and be counted on considerably. When you think back not too long ago there were major concerns due to his back issues about whether hed have to retire before this year. Hes beating the odds and even though hes not quite the same player - hes still a solid one. 4. ANDREW BYNUM (Pacers): Makes his debut with his new team and has a nice night with 8 and 10. If youre a Pacers fan you ask, Where can I sign up for that every night? At his stage, he was brought in to make sure Miami didnt get him and to provide the force in the lane. Those numbers would be more than adequate at this point in the season and where hes at with his game. 5. ANTHONY BENNETT (Cavs): Out three weeks with a knee injury. When it rains, it pours. Please give me rain!! Sure beats all the snow were getting!! Was starting to come around a bit and now this. His conditioning was a major issue for him and within three weeks on the shelf this is a setback in that area. Hopefully, he learns from his last rehab stint and approached his health/fitness routine in a more focused fashion. Al Oliver Jersey . On Saturday, the paths of Drew Tate and Kevin Glenn cross again as opposing quarterbacks. Kyle Bird Rangers Jersey .com) - Robert Martin and Josh Hicks combined for more than 300 yards rushing and three touchdowns, as Rutgers rolled past North Carolina, 40-21, in the Quick Lane Bowl. https://www.cheaprangersbaseball.com/1412h-lenny-randle-jersey-rangers.html .J. -- While Martin Brodeur wasnt willing to say he stole one for the New Jersey Devils against the Columbus Blue Jackets, almost everyone else was. Kolby Allard Rangers Jersey .com) - Patrick Reed poured in a 19-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole Monday to defeat Jimmy Walker and win the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Gaylord Perry Rangers Jersey . -- Sonny Grays fastball wasnt as sharp as it usually is, and the Oakland Athletics young pitcher even had a quirky replay go against him.DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Top-ranked Serena Williams had little trouble joining sister Venus, in the Dubai Championships semifinals on Thursday. Serena, playing her first tournament since a fourth-round loss at the Australian Open, had little trouble bypassing fifth-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. The only blip in Williams game came when she lost serve in a tentatively played fifth game in the first set. "She was the better player tonight," Jankovic said. "Way better. "I just played a bad match on my terms." The only drama in the 76-minute match came in the final game with Jankovic serving. The umpire, Kader Nouni of France, told Jankovic she was serving too fast and then too slow, when taking more than the 25 seconds allotted. Williams was briefly brought into the fray when Jankovic made note that Williams often took more than the 25 seconds allowed to serve. After the match, the players conversed at the net and both reported they left the court on good terms. "I told her at the end, Look, I didnt mean anything. Im sorry if I played slow," Williams said. "She was like, No, it was more like they say (I) play too fast and then too slow. She said she couldnt get it right. "I was like, Look, are we cool because Im cool with you?" In that final game, Jankovic initially rebounded from love-40 before Williams won on a fourth match point with a scorching forehand passing shot. Williams will play Alize Cornet of France in the semmifinals.ddddddddddddCornet scored a 7-5, 6-3 win over Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain. Venus Williams reached her fourth Dubai semifinal with a 6-3, 7-5 win over qualifier Flavia Pennetta of Italy. Williams, who won this title in 2009 and 2010, had to serve for the match twice in the second set. "She just keeps fighting," Williams said of Pennetta. "She stays relevant. Thats what she does really well. I have to give her credit for that." Serving at 5-4 in the second set, Williams missed out on a match point when Pennetta hit a forehand crosscourt winner to bring the score to deuce. Four points later and Pennetta broke serve to even the score at 5-5. After Pennetta dropped serve in the 11th game Williams had a second chance to close out the match. Initially, Williams fell behind 0-40. On a second match point Pennetta popped a return long to concede the win. Williams will play eighth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki, the 2011 Dubai champion, in Fridays semifinals. Wozniacki had little trouble dispatching 27th-ranked Sorana Cirstea of Romania 6-1, 6-2. "That was really pleasing, and I always know that Sorana can be a tricky opponent," Wozniacki said. "I felt like I served well and I put the pressure on her and played the way I wanted to play today." Although not guaranteed, Venus Williams wasnt opposed to thinking ahead to the possibility of an all-Williams final on Saturday. "It would be fantastic," Venus said. "But we both have to get there."
